Part of me hopes we get a terrible adaptation of Zee which features JohnZee followed by a great adaptation that doesn't feature JohnZee. I can't imagine a better way to sour people on that pairing than that. By terrible I don't mean Black Canary on Arrowverse bad in which people hated her character, just disappointing enough.

Sadly, such an adaptation would more likely convince executives that no one likes Zatanna.

Watching this made me realize Zee has never fought like this in the comics. I mean she could do everything that was depicted in DB but the writers were never that creative with her powers nor did they have her character be so carefree/confident during a fight. Zee was like that only in that one JL Action episode with faust.

Aye, Mr. Gustavo Duarte achieving his dream. That being said I would like to see more story from him, the artstyle and writing quite fitting for a whimsical Zee story
