The trend of those semi-palm gloves find its way into comic book fashion will be the death of me.



They are throwing off the color balance of the look. You'd almost have to throw a black corset or a thick belt on there to fix it. Perhaps under a different artist the whip wrapped around the waist will suffice or different coloring with more dark areas in the purple...

They are called half gloves. They can be cool but both instances of Catwoman having them have been so poorly done. The newer one being worse than the Joelle Jone's look. But also, they were in fashion back in 2008. It's the reason why I don't trust straight men to design outfits for female characters. It's always 10+ years behind, style wise.

Those gloves always confused me, won't the gloves rip away when she grab something or why would she leave DNA at crime scene. I know it's stylish but not practically, also open armpits.

They stay up. They are actually pretty comfy to wear.

^ That's awful too, she looks like Lizardwoman. If it were green and kept the Julie Newman silhouette with the hip hugger belt it would be passable, but the fish scales are just wrong. The puss in boots costume was better because though it was pirate like and out of character, it wasn't derivative.

Those are supposed to be sequins -- similar to Julie's costume. But draw that way -- they do look more like scales.
