I am in the same boat on slacking with my comic book reading. But for me it is me doing my writing. I have been doing so much writing my other hobbies have taken a huge back seat.

I quite enjoyed it, but it reads quite differently from traditional American super-hero comics, not just because it's manga or not super-heroes, but the pacing, reliance on visuals to carry the narrative rather than captions or dialogue, leaving some things vague and letting the reader fill in the blanks while being quite graphic in others takes some adjustment if you haven't read a lot outside mainstream super-hero comics of any era. I know quite a few folks who have no liked it for those reasons. This was a bit of a reread for me, I read the first handful of issues in English when First put them out with Frank Miller covers in the 80s, and most fo the first digest volume when Dark Horse started releasing them, but due to circumstances beyond my actual enjoyment of it, never got further than that. Now with hoopla offering them, I am taking the time to dive into the series fully.

Jumping back in, fell way off the reading train. Just this past week I read more comics than I had in the year so far. But I'm back at it, ready for a comeback in these last months.

My initial goal was 400 comics, now I'm aiming to get to hit 100. So about 85 comics in the next 60 days or so. And I'll shoot for 400 again next year, getting warmed up. And posting here keeps me accountable, making it a habit. Gotta love comics.
