"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
Nothing I've seen has mentioned who she's playing. Maybe it's a spoiler?

Kinda a shame they're going the black ops route. You'd think that most of the team wouldn't be hard to logically explain...
Abe, a disgraced pilot wearing a prototype flight armor.
Erik, gains powers trying to steal pym particles.
Mel, maybe an MMA fighter who decided to go the extra step with cybernetics
I wonder if the team was just to justify all the sequels all the members have written in their contracts.
This would have been a team that got me most excited for Thunderbolts. They were cool and memorable in their stories. In general I just prefer Thunderbolts as a group of villains becoming anti-villains or anti-heroes as opposed to a more Suicide Squad role. And I still can't believe not a single member of the classic team was announced for the movie. I know there's rumors for Songbird.
I wonder if Marvel is just afraid of introducing a whole new team/cast (FF don't count). I mean, we saw how that turned out for Justice League (not that there weren't other problems).
Feige seems to lean towards Marvel's greatest hits from the mid 2000s era Marvel so stuff like Ultimates/Civil War/Winter Soldier/Disassembled/Young Avengers/GotG. Given that this movie seems to be more of a Black Widow movie vehicle for Florence Pugh, I think it's very influenced by the Thunderbolts run by Diggle and later Parker which treated the Thunderbolts as the blackops squad for Norman Osborn.
