2023 Appreciation and Hopes for Madelyne Pryor

Maddy's new direction for Limbo, might make her mindset central to a relaunch of the Hellions book or a mission statement for an Uncanny Avengers book. I can see Maddy on such a team. I could also see Warren (Archangel) and Roberto (Sunspot) on such a team all four of them have had extended runs on the bad guy side on the fence so they could all be in for redemption type storylines. Both Maddy and Warren both have a history of healing others as well. Anodyne for Maddy and Warren's time as a psuedo-religiously angelic character. Doc Samson might be a good side character on whatever book they are on because they could all use some mental counciling.

Yeah, that could work. Maybe they also bring in Doc Samson (technically still Doc Sasquatch at this point) to help The Chasm Formerly Known as Ben Reilly while he's still locked up in Limbo.

While not nuanced or written nearly as well as Claremont in the Outback. I am very happy to have Maddy back in the Marvel universe proper. Wells had me really excited after her first appearance/death tell them I am/was a real person. I am curious if there are plans in place for her and Havok and the Hellions and Dark Web of it all were just instruments in place to move them to a particular part of the chess board for use later.

God,I hope not.

The point is her inclusion in Hellions and use in Dark Web were done specifically to make her an active part of the X-Men universe again. I am hoping that they have plans for her, hopefully as a part of a team in an ongoing X-book.

Vita did more in her final couple of issues of New Mutants to define what Maddy was about than anything that ever occured in the Hellions and Dark Web messes.

That felt a lot more about freeing Illyana from Limbo than necessarily anything great for Maddy. All that being said it feels like there is a plan afoot, I would really love it if Claremont got to write it because he gets Maddy better than anyone else.

Kind of wish that Madelyne's Limbo and Embassy harkened back to her days as the administrator of the Living Computer in the X-Men's Outback headquarters. That was a mystery that was never fully explored.

I never know how to post to the X-Editor and ask questions has anyone heard where Maddy is scheduled to appear next?

Maddy has a lot to bring to the table of a X-Team, powerful telekinetic, low level telepath, magic/control of demons, healing powers, ace pilot, and I guess good with tech/computers (?) I know because they assumed she didn't have powers it was her best way to contribute to the presummed dead X-team in the Outback, but she didn't seem to have a problem with it. She also seems to be a natural born leader. She also has major connections to Alex, Cable, Stryfe, Jean, less so to Rachel, Nate Grey, members of Outback X-Men and Scott. She also has major issues with Sinister and Sym.

After #26 in May, Wells promises a Doc Ock story, a Kraven story, a Tombstone story (with JRJR!), and a Limbo\Rek-Rap story (by McGuiness).

If I'm inferring correctly, more Rek-Rap is a request from McGuiness himself, who's doing the Doc Ock tale. Then, we should see something like this:

Early Summer: Kraven w Gleason
Late Summer-Early Fall: Doc Ock w McGuiness
Fall: Tombstone w JRJR
Late Fall and beyond: Limbo\Rek-Rap w McGuiness
???: Ben Reilly's next story

I would love it if Duggan used Maddy and Alex to form a rival team to Duggan's X-Men group. I used to love the rivalry friction between the Uncanny X-men and say Alpha Flight, not enemies per se but rivals with differing agendas.

Inferno was the apex of my love for all things X-men. I never loved it more before or since. I loved the Jim Lee stuff because the art was majestic but storyline wise nothing for me was better than Inferno which was the culmination of the Mutant Massacre/Outback storylines.

Yassss, really love the Dark X-Men announcement a Maddy/Alex team book has been pointed to since Hellions #1. This is the first Xbook to get me excited since Hellions got shuttered.
