“Convenient option” is probably just a bit the wrong word choice; a writer could easily sell “walking action scene” as a more “convenient” choice for a more action oriented movie, or sell Babs-As-Oracle and Cass-As-Batgirl as a smart decision for an ensemble film.

Name recognition is still probably Babs’s greatest advantage on a conceptual level - and Cass’s radical different by being so action oriented makes this more than the usual “which legacy character should matter more” debate.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

So far, DC has shown they don't really care about Cass being action oriented, since her adaptations have ignored the "expert martial artist" aspect on her character.

When adaptations have chosen Cassandra, this appears to have been due to her race, since they want diversity. That may be a reason to choose Cassandra over Barbara in the movies (although I really hope Gunn would respect her personality in that case).

YJ making her and Shiva use swords all the time was so dumb.

Doubly so when they establish their version of the origin...like why would she or anyone still let her use swords after what happened with Babs?

I've been wanting to see Cass in the Arkham series since Arkham City. Such a waste of potential. If there was any Bat that would have fit well in that setting.....
They even had the League of Assassins in that game so it wasn't like they didn't already have a female combat model available to use.

Hm, well if we're keeping the story in-universe then her time between running away from her father and arriving in No Man's Land has never been told so it might be interesting to see a tale in that era (it would be a return to "silent Cass" as well as she would not have learnt to speak properly back then.).
If we're talking any universe then a tale featuring a Cassandra in the Arkham-verse or Nolan-verse might be interesting.
