It would be nice to get another cosmic powerhouse on the mutant side of the house, if that's how this plays out.

I don't quite know how I feel about that retcon.
On the one hand...Damn!
On the other big-toe...is it really necessary? It doesn't take anything away from Captain Marvel's first appearance...I mean, any normal human would have likely and logically fried to dust and ashes with all the energy Monica absorbed from the machine...but still...
Still...This was an awesome issue. I really enjoyed the dichotomy of Monica's seemingly small internal struggles...that she should be able to solve if she just give herself that needed focus and attention...being the catalyst for the very catastrophic galaxy-ending dilemma around her.
The importance of personal mental and physical health care and maintenance...and how the lack there-of truly affects the world around us.
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
Just read the last issue... it's a mess. The characterization of Monica Rambeau is good, she is well-written,but the story goes in all directions. Too bad, Monica is my favorite Captain Marvel, the first issue was really cool, but there is no story.
I try to improve my english, feel free to correct me by DM if you see some mistakes !
This… was not good
“The Avengers have been the one point of stability in my entire life. And if The Avengers call… then The Scarlet Witch will always answer.”
Not sure if he's referring to this issue but Duggan tweeted yesterday that everyone isn't a mutant.
"I AM A GODDESS OF LIFE AS WELL AS OF STORMS. IF IT IS WITHIN MY POWER TO SAVE YOU -- I SHALL." - ORORO MUNROE
MCU made Kamala a mutant now Marvel Comics is hinting at Monica being a mutant? How boring.
"Dedra Meero is not just a woman in a men’s world, but a fascist in a world of fascists.” - Denise Gough
To be fair, MCU Kamala needed her origin changing since in the comics she got her powers as a consequence of the Inhumanity event. They weren't going to have the Terrigen mists plot in the movies. They didn't need to change her powers though, just how she gets them.

Double Photon this week guys, she has a story in Women of Marvel too. It's a supposed team-up with Ms. Marvel, but Monica does almost all the work as Kamala is in need of a rescue from two of her own rogues.

In the x forum in a new monica thread there are posts saying that monica is not a mutant from Duggan's tweet.
So she is not mutant.
It's funny how all three Marvels have had a "you didn't get your powers by accident, you had them all along" reveal.
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
Captain Marvel #50 has a variant with Spectrum on it.

Monica could have been everything to Marvel that Wonder Woman is to DC, if they'd only listen to her fans.
