Cheers to the Bright Lady and Happy New Year to Askani fans!



This year I'm hoping for some deep exploration into her Askani destiny and perhaps even a return to gathering the Clan Askani. I'd like her status as protector of the timelines to foster interactions and relationships with heroes across the multiverse and the Captain Britain Corps. For her to be the go-to hero when access is needed. And I'm looking forward to seeing her relationship with Betsy grow.

The bulk of book will be in the 616 and Betsy dealing with Britain but on the preview pages we see them both working with the Corps. Howard mentioned that each have important jobs to do and that Rachel's "Askani destiny" will be a plot point. So I'm thinking Rachel will be more focused on Otherworld and they'll come together on the field when necessary.

That looks brilliant.

I, too, hope that we see more come of Askani and her role as guardian of time, the building of this "new" Clan Askani, and the growth of her powers. I'm intrigued in her relationship with Betsy and to see where it all leads.

Also to see her role in the future of Krakoa and beyond. Especially with the threat of Nimrod and O.R.CH.I.S. looming

A new PHOENIX OMNIBUS that is heavy on Rachel content...and she gets NO cover option that includes her. Hope that perhaps she has some back cover real estate.

Also, the solicit for the Phoenix Omnibus Vol. 2 dropped today. The covers are by Walter Simonson and Artgerm. Near Mint Condition has already reported that the omni will drop this September.
