Cover Contest for Jan 4 to Jan 11 - Retconned, I Reckon!

First contest to start in the new year! And everything you thought you knew is WRONG!

Post a cover from an issue that introduced a retcon to a character's or team's history.

Here are the usual RULES:
1) Post One (& ONLY ONE) Cover that fits the theme of this Week's Contest!
2) Covers must be from a Published Comic Book, Graphic Novel, or Collected Volume!
3) Covers must be Posted before Voting Begins!
4) Voting Begins 12 AM Tuesday PST and Runs Until 12 AM Wednesday PST (3 AM EST).
5) Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!
6) The Winner of the Contest is the Entry with the MOST Votes after the Voting-Period!
7) It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!
8) Plus: Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking --Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
9) AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting.
10) HAVE FUN!

Retcon is a shortened form of retroactive continuity, and refers to a literary device in which the form or content of a previously established narrative is changed. Retcons are often encountered in serial formats such as comic books or television series, where they serve as a means of allowing the work’s creators to create a parallel universe, reintroduce a character, or explore plot lines that would otherwise be in conflict with the work. Essentially, a retcon allows an author to have his or her cake and eat it too, as it enables the return of dead characters, the revision of unpopular elements of a work, and a general disregard for reality.

Tom Mandrake. I enjoyed this version, as one of the many retcons in the wake of CoIE, but it never really went anywhere and got retconned really fast.
