Oh I just checked and she makes a brief appearance in NM Annual 7 but I wouldnt count that bc

1. It was the annual, not proper series
2. Its literally a splash page cameo and she doesnt do anything
3. They were pretty much X-Force by then. James , Domino, Shatterstar and Feral were even in it. Sam would have been the only OG NM there she would have been familiar with anyway

It was only about 3 1/2 years between the end of the LS and the debut of the New Warriors in Thor 411. There are characters who have more history than her who have spent longer in limbo.

Oh thanks for that. For some reason I thought she had a much longer period of sitting on the shelf doing nothing after her limited series!

I wonder why she wasn't used more in the 80s? After the success of Amazing friends, Angelica's popularity was high enough to introduce her into the 616. Why not continue to ride the wave and bring her into X-Men proper or New Mutants?

Why did they shelve her until New Warriors?

Not that I'm complaining because New Warriors was brilliant and brought me into comics.

I have no idea, but most people would have known who she is. And to this day she's still one of the most recognisable Marvel characters as evident by the vote.

Angelica was AMAZING in the latest X-men issue. Finally Duggan gave her something of substance for this secret mission. Love that Cassara got to draw the issue too

Who is the colorist insistent on this streak technique? I enjoy texture via tonal shift as much as the next, but this feels like a aggressive signature with how frequent and prominently its applied.

I just noticed her hair is colored similarly to her cartoon look. I wonder if that was on purpose.

Oh my god, at last! My months of whining and moaning have finally paid off

Much happier with this issue. Great art and a nice little bit of character development which I've been screaming out for.

Whilst I still have come critiques about the whole situation, I know as a fan I can't have everything.

Really excited to see what happens next. I just hope Duggan doesn't drop the ball and we have to wait too long for the next Firestar instalment whilst Duggan plays with ninja Kitty.

I can see things getting worse for her because she's not going to want to deactivate her xgene. Heads to Mars?

And she's bff's with Nimrod and Stasis now!
