It has Robocop on the cover.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
I vote Iron Maiden!
Midnight has struck and it'd time to kiss the votes and tally your partner!
Wait! Strike that. Reverse it.

Looks like almost everyone got a vote but me. I gotta tell ya, I don't get no respect.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
This was a great contest. I couldnt find a cover that fit the theme fast enough but I enjoyed it a great deal.
Great Job Iron Maiden

Wow...another win!
Many thanks to CaptainEurope, Stony, Spike-X, ChadH, Englehart Humperdinck and nx01a for your votes!
Next contest will be up shortly
Thanks for the vote, Riv86672!
And congrats IM! Always good to see Doom back in charge of things, it brings a certain sense of stability to the forum.
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
Congratulations to Iron Maiden for a marvelous Hopperesque cover. The detailing of the characters is wonderful with the main hero and villain in the background for an unusual anniversary cover.
And now, the Peak of the Week where the captain babbles about what he supposedly has learned. Very well. I selected a cover this week which dealt with a potential computer problem occurring as the year switched over to 2000. Luckily nothing of any noticeable significance happened. I spent New Years Day doing testing for the company I was working for at the time. Time was when if you did Y2K testing it was cool. Now it basically means you're old.
On a side note, I consider That 70's Show to have had one of the greatest final lines of all time with the NYE countdown of "3, 2, 1..." stopping just as 1980 was starting.
Grateful thanks go to Tami and Seismic-2 for their generous votes. It's nice to be on the board.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
Congrats to IM!
