I think you're talking about the Millar story where a Sue comes back from the future and is killed. That was also the one where future Sue calls Valeria out on her still pretending to be a normal intelligence young child.

I think Marvel: Dark age Sue has a look that would work for an archaeological adventure. With some edits of course, but it's a good base.
