In fairness he’s fairly new, has yet to meet Billy or the rest of the family, and until Dawn of DC I’d honestly say I wasn’t sure he’d survive the Black Adam series.

WB lacks the cohesion of Disney/Marvel. So you might as well treat everything that happens there as separate entities. Hopefully this will all change with James Gunn and Peter Safran helming DC now.

As of the end of Geoff Johns run, that seat is meant for Black Adam. Whether that will still be the case going forward, who knows.

I only bring it up because Mark Waid will continuing on from Johns's run and not Priest's. It's unclear whether any of the ideas from Priest's run will be carried forward.

It depends on where Malik is going after BA.

Waid can choose to use him or he could not, maybe Priest will use him in another series of his, or maybe Malik will join the JSA cause Adam did so before him.

We'll have to see in the future. Hope he stays though, be pretty fun seeing the Billy and co actually interacting with a member of the Black Adam Family who isn't crazy like Osiris.
