This is a new low for the Shocker
Shcoker the jobber strikes again
Kick a man while he's down, why don't you, Osborn?
The spider is always on the hunt.
MJ beat his ass in that Black Cat/Mary Jane Beyond one shot, so no, this most definitely isn't a new low, MJ beating him was the new low (And the way Felicia talked about it afterwards had her saying that Shocker gets beaten up like this all the time), and it's obnoxious just how disrespected Shocker is nowadays, he has a goofy costume sure, but he used to be competent, now he's making Ultimate Shocker look good...
And even Ultimate Shocker had his moment in his last appearance, where he managed to finally overpower Ultimate Spider-Man (Peter) and reveal his backstory to him while holding him hostage. Actually, made me feel bad for him, especially given how much his former bosses screwed him over, and how it segued well into the theme Bendis ran with later in the run about how the real villains of the Ultimate Marvel Universe were "big business" types who couldn't care less how many lives they ruined, destroyed, or flat-out ended in their never-ending quest for wealth and power.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Shocker really needs a win. Not that he and Norman have ever been really close so him calling Osborn a "traitor" doesn't really feel right.
It's weird seeing the police rely on Norman Osborn for help.
"He's pure power and doesn't even know it. He's the best of us."-Matt Murdock
"I need a reason to take the mask off."-Peter Parker
"My heart half-breaks at how easy it is to lie to him. It breaks all the way when he believes me without question." Felicia Hardy
I mean Shocker has beaten Spidey a few times before, even when Spidey was competent.
Old Shocker would beat Wells' Spidey without even realizing what he did.
Would he now? Because both of them are pathetic, so the question isn't even "who wins?" but rather "who gets humiliated the least?"
Another #1 issue!? That was fast!
Gold is the new Green!
It wasn’t really power of attorney but the go ahead to essentially do whatever he wished without having to report to him. Which would have actually been a more effective plot point before Dark Web since it would be a good explanation on how Ben was able to sabotage Norman’s suit by posing as Peter.
Though this issue definitely shows just how dumb Marvel citizens are.
