Thanks for the update. I prefer Janin's art so I'm fine waiting a little longer for JSA issue 2.

You have a few 22s there which should be 23s. Only the JSA #2 22 is correct.

In the scheme of comics delays, these aren't horrible...but hopefully they don't continue!

So far, it's just Justice Society of America that's been off, and only by one month at this point.

If DC was smart, they wouldn't bother soliciting issue #6 for April and save it for May's solicitations, then just move #5 into the April slot that would have been for #6.

    Thanks for posting this.

So it seems that Stargirl is on schedule so far while JSA is a bit late. Hopefully editorial didn't butt in and make changes to the JSA book.
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.

Probably artist related. Nauck was capable of doing a monthly as in I think he did EVERY issue + One Million of YJ, which is a miracle even back in those days. Janin probably isn't capable of that sort of grind.

Also could be that Johns had more of Stargirl mapped out in advance (he was already plugging it back in May 2021).
Not sure how much of Justice Society of America carried over from what he had planned to do back then with Bryan Hitch.

As per leagueofcomicgeeks.com, Justice Society of America #5 appears to have been moved to an April 25th release date.

Makes perfect sense. Now just hold off soliciting #6 for May.

EDIT: Never mind, I just saw the Reddit link where Johns said it IS a regular monthly, not just a 12-issue mini. Great news!

Is there a date for when Geoff Johns said that?

Because the solicitations for issues #2-5 have said "#x of 12", so one would think that would have been corrected by the solicitation for issue #5 if the plan was for this to be a regular on-going all along. But, who knows how DC works these days.

Maybe if they solicit issue #6 for April we can see if that has been changed or not.

That's my question on this as well. Cover and solicitation information for the JSA book has changed at least once. It's not unreasonable to think that DC originally planned this as an ongoing and that's an old quote. But sales have started coming in and DC might very well be going back to an ongoing for this, even if it's a new JSA #1 after this 12 issue mini instead of a JSA 13.

If I am super, how can I wait?

Either way this is great news! DC needs a JSA ongoing, especially w/o a JLA or (currently) a Titans ongoing.
Kind of ironic that the only DC team book at the moment is the original team, unless there is something I'm missing.
