That was extremely wild. I have to say...I didn't like the way the story did it. I thought it was going to be connected to the last issue. Additionally, we haven't really seen Steph deal with anything that's happened to her, and this story continued that trend.

It happened to Batman in Batman vs Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, though that was from the turtles' ooze and not the man-bat serum.

I think the situation got resolved too easily, which made her transformation not that big a deal. In theory it's great that her willpower is enough to give her self-control while transformed, but between that and her getting 'cured' off-panel in the very same issue there wasn't much to it. I think her transformation should have been a cliffhanger ending, leading into the fight with Cass and her gaining control happening in issue 17. That way there'd be more space to not rush the whole thing, and to provide a better coda after they arrest Hatter,

It felt too detached from everything. But I think the two things that really bothered me are the coda feeling too ambiguous and unsatisfying, and the art making me feel too weird.

Come on DC, if you are going to do this with Stephanie at least let her eat Bernard! While it does feel like Steph is getting some serious bad luck lately this is a example of something that could have been fun for a issue or two before solving the problem. The potential was there and I actually wanted to see more of her wild side from the transformation but it was so short lived.

My brain went a different way and thought of the bomb Cyborg comes up with in TTGO to forcibly dress someone. then visualized a Bat-Girl bomb that glues a Bat-Girl costume to Steph against her will.

Steph had more screentime in the Gotham Knights pilot than I expected, and that's the only positive thing I can say about that show.
