Could've easily just added an X badge on the sleeves (which is a feature of the new costume, but I'd have them smaller). And if she's working with a non-X team, just swap it for their own emblem (the Avengers Arrow A logo and the Champions' C).

But considering the storyline, her wearing any X logos at all was a bad idea.

Wolverine actually didn't originally wear the X at all (he first appeared in Hulk, but they didn't add it when he joined the X-Men). His belt had an ordinary belt buckle, and only gained an X later on.

okay but that was like 30 years before he joined the Avengers and had long since wore an X on most of his costumes by that point. Its not like they removed the X when he joined the group

Kamala was in a couple of pages in X-Men #26. A "mutant" is getting attacked, so Kamala saves her - by using her phone to say she's filming them, instead of using her powers (which would've outed her as Ms. Marvel to those bullies). Turns out the victim wasn't a mutant at all - she just has alopecia and a skin condition, but the dialogue forgot to mention the latter.

Good question. Given how little Orchis actually cares about human lives or the quality thereof, chiefly exploiting human fear and hate of mutants to get willing (and eager) recruits-slash-cannon fodder . . . this would be something worth exposing. Sadly, the question then is, "Would they care, or would they just keep hating and trying to kill off mutants, anyway?"

As usual, fear of the other ultimately becomes license to lash out violently at anything or anyone that doesn't "look normal." The allegory is more fitting, at least in this context.

I guess nobody plays Marvel Strike Force anymore. Kamala got a new character slot there a little over a month ago, called Ms. Marvel (Hard Light). It's based on her look from The Marvels.
