I don't think it would go over well. I recall Ahmed mind wiping her parents not being popular.

That honestly shouldn't have stuck. Her mother worked it out on her own the first time around, so she could again. Her friends also found out on their own - in both cases Kamala outed herself only to find they'd known for months. The only one genuinely surprised when she revealed her powers was Bruno, because he found out literally on day one, and wouldn't have had time to work it out on his own.

Also, her family knows in the MCU, in fact it's her Dad who names her Ms. Marvel there (since MCU Carol had never used that name it needed it's origin changing).

I'm glad they're keeping her inhuman origins and powers. I'm fine if they add her mcu powers on top as long as we don't lose her stretchy powers.
