yeah, logically Jon should see Kon as a big brother... but... no... not written like that.

Why should he? He didn't even know Kon growing up; in current times where Jon's been retconned to have known his grandparents as a kid, Kon is portrayed as not having been a presence in his life; even if they were to retcon Kon into being part of his childhood years, he's not Clark's & Lois's son, he'd be Jonathan's and Martha's, Jon would at best see him like a close older cousin.
Yeah, I get part of the fanbase want Kon and Jon to have had a sibling-like relationship, but that's not actually the way the Kent family is set up. At this point I'd prefer for DC to lean into a "we're not as close as we should be, are we?" dynamic and build from there.
As far as the twins and their dynamic with Jon goes, I'm enjoying what PKJ is doing there. Those scenes are probably the most compelling things he has written with Otho and Osul as part of the Kent family so far (because clearly their dynamic with their adoptive parents isn't). And I do think it makes sense for Jon, given the way he has been written over the last few years, to refuse to resent his parents for what happened (even if he's clearly affected).
Looking forward to Otho & Osul getting a back-up story but I'm already kind of worried that they'll be portrayed as archetypal cute kids rather than characters informed by their background. Well, here's to hopefully being proven wrong.
Conner is treated as Jon's uncle. He was taken in by Jonathan and Martha, just like Clark, who sees him as a little brother. Even though genetically, being a mix of two people and thus not really a clone, Conner should be Clark's son - which is what Lex, who provided the other half of his genes, sees him as, a son (Conner's origin is very similar to the female Wolverine's, the character formerly known as X-23 - she believed she was a clone too, but it turned out due to the way she was made, she was actually the daughter of Logan and the scientist who birthed her). Of course Kara is called an Aunt by Jon as well, despite her being Clark's cousin (and therefore also Jon's), and not his sister.

Kids get their backup next week. With PKJ leaving Action, we will soon see if they stick around. Assuming my theory that PKJ is taking on the JL relaunch we may see them remain.

Still not a huge fan of their designs…idk exactly why tho. I mean I know I don’t like the braids they have but their costumes are too…too baggy maybe?
I hope we see more of them after PJK leaves action.
Nothing wrong with Otho's, but it's definitely out of place on Osul since boys don't usually have hair that long. Clark probably thinks it should be their decision if they want to blend in with human society or not. But in Osul's case, it's probably harmful to a secret identity. Not that they really have one yet anyway since they haven't adopted Kent names.
Otho's solo codename seems to have been revealed, as in Action Comics #1059 she calls herself a Supergirl of the House of El - which means she's sharing Kara's name and Osul is probably sharing Conner's Superboy identity.

Something I noticed after reading AC1060, Otho tends to not use contractions and Osul uses them more often. Just goes to show you how they’re adjusting to life on earth. Also it seems that Osul doesn’t have the braid anymore, something I’m 100% on board with.
You're right, he was drawn without it in this issue. Makes sense - boys don't usually have long hair, so keeping it wasn't good for his secret identity (speaking of which, the twins really should take human names). Whereas Otho's is fine, since long hair on girls is normal.

Otho calls Clark “Papa” in the last issue of Action, so maybe Clark and Lois officially adopt them in the Annual. For names I would like Osul to go by Chris since that was originally intended as a tribute to Chris Reeve, and since PKJ loves that take it would be fitting to reuse it since the old Chris no longer exists.

Yeah … these kids need a make-over … and I hate their names. Not easy to pronounce.
