I don't mind the concept but we really gotta stop using the Dark subtitle to designate a magical faction version

Because none of the previous names stuck.
We have had:
-Trenchcoat Brigade (in the Berger adjacent stuff)
-Primal Force/Leymen (post-Zero Hour)
-Sentinels of Magic (post-Days of Judgement)
-Shadowpact (post-Infinite Crisis)
-Secret Seven (in Flashpoint).
None of these names stuck. JLD/JSD has lasted the longest by far.
If someone gave them a new name literally the next guy will change it for his own idea.
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?
I don't think that Secret Seven was a serious attempt at creating a magic based team, it felt like a placeholder for JLD since I think same writer wrote both?
But other than that yeah, JL in the name is going to move extra units and thats why we have it. JSD would be redundant.

I believe there is a line of black/white Batman collections called Batman Noir.

I rather it was set on Earth 2 but I'm fine with the JSA run so far. The timeskips at the end when she gets thrown from 1940s JSA to Khalid’s time is the only confusing part.

Only technically. Originally, he was a one-off character whose only role was that he was the guy who gave Scott Free his costume. This version greatly expands his role into being a Golden Age hero in his own right.
I'm curious about that, too.
Rogue wears rouge.
Angel knows all the angles.
You don't need magical powers to be in JLD.

I see everyone's fate but my own. Sometimes that scares me. But when I see the future of someone such as yourself, I believe in tomorrow again
