    The writer of "Captain America" and "Fatale" has penned a remake of the 1988 cult classic, to be produced by Nicolas Winding Refn.

    Hmmm... interesting he's chosen a slasher style film to write as a remake. I've never seen the original (despite my enjoyment of Bruce Campbell), I wish them luck.

    I hope Ed writes more scripts and adapts Velvet. (That comic is made for live action adaptation. Too bad Edwige Fenech is about 20 years too mature to play Velvet now. She'd be perfect.)

    Can't wait for it. The Maniac Cop series is a guilty pleasure of mine.

    Now if only some of the music from this series could be remade by modern artists...

    when i was a kid i was always curious about those maniac cop movies, they VHS covers looked cool but i never pulled the trigger and rented it.

    anybody know where i can watch the original?? i had no luck with netflix.
