Yeah the real world reason is obvious, but in-story it's a weird situation where they're acting like his character never even existed. He's even excised from flashbacks. I was saying NOW pull the trigger and either recast Hyde or kill Hyde off (off-screen). But both present problems so I guess we're stuck with them giving him the Judy Winslow treatment for however long the show stays on the air.
