How can there be filler when there’s no ultimate goal to begin with?

It's a story by a guest writer that isn't going to change the status quo of the regular writer's run. That's about as close to filler as you get in the American superhero comic book industry.

Edit: I know people take the word "filler" in this context to mean something is of lesser quality, and that is not what I am saying at all. Some of the most popular episodes of DBZ are the filler episodes. The episode where Goku and Piccolo take driving lessons was a filler episode.

In the era of relaunches where a writer is usually on the title for a more limited or set period of time and everything is all about the trades, it feels like there are more expectations of set end points or for stories to actually go somewhere rather than just go on indefinitely.

so can say this issue seems like there were changes to it because of the direction to the issue went in. not to feel bad for a Peter and Felicia push but this kind of messes with the MJ BC mini and makes it redundant
