Yeah, I loved Udon Taskmaster's mini-series. He's one of those guys who can't quite carry his own series, but he's just about as cool as a character can be before breaking that barrier.

They've met a few times. I think the first time might have been back during the original run of West Coast Avengers.

That would be impossible unless it was a flashback story considering that Jessica Jones wasn’t created until 2001.

I think that was Tigra, and that's now my suggestion. "The Tiger and the Cat" or "Cats!" or some other cat-related title.

I know, right?! Loved when he tutored John Walker in the fine-art of being Captain America

I feel like Hawkeye and Ant-Man would be a good pairing. Both ex-criminals, both have senses of humor, and both of them regularly get dusted off to try out as new solo series time and again, with varying degrees of success.

But beyond that, what made Deadpool and Cable work were their mismatched personalities (Luke and Danny, for their differences, weren't so dynamically opposite). Finding something like that would be a lot of fun too, so maybe something just completely out of left-field and outlandish like, I don't know, Blade and Speedball.

That book was Marvel’s version of Quantum & Woody, not PM&IF.

Well, Christopher Priest has said that part of the idea behind Quantum & Woody (whose editor went on to write Cable & Deadpool) was to do a book like PM&IF.

Anyway they're all different from each other, but Cable and Deadpool were two solo stars who (temporarily, in Deadpool's case) could no longer carry a solo comic, so they put them in a book together despite not really having much in common. Which is the Power Man & Iron Fist formula.

^^^Agreed. I saw the parallels in the C&DP book.

    Also in the Q&W book.
I mean they put their own spin on it and we’re very original in how they handled it all but the parallels were there.

Does anyone else think that Power Man and Iron Fist were ruined by Luke Cage dropping the Power Man name? Power Man and Iron Fist sounds really cool, like it should be accompanied by a 1970's explosion. POWER MAN AND IRON FIST!!! *background KABOOM!*

Don't understand why they ruined the energy of that name by making Luke Cage just go by "Cage".
