No crap...Hank had one bad moment during a psychotic break. But let's face it...Jan was not exactly acting in a responsible manner in that time frame either. She took advantage of Hank's break down to get what she wanted instead of getting him the help he needed.

And if we define all the characters by their one worst moment we are doing to have a lot of worthless a-hole bastards running around in tights.

    I would strongly disagree.

It's literally been the premise of most Hank Pym stories .

Blink. Was really big in the 90s even making the most wanted toyline voted by fans. Then--she just kind of faded away.

Killed off the mainstream version...then she became popular thru AoA and Exiles. Have the resurrected the 616 version yet?

Yes, she was brought back several years ago and was part of Abnett and Lanning's New Mutants.
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way

F4 could beneft from characters interacting with each other more yeah lol.

I do get the feeling the exploration angle isn't done as much too...

Grandfather clause is what screws them up a lot, they're probably the most static characters at Marvel.

Yeah, even a goody two shoes like Spidey has horrible moments, like say, backhanding his pregnant wife so hard she hits a wall and starts bleeding, and then running away:

    (Spectacular Spider-Man#226).

And soon after this he decided to join Jackal into killing the planet 'cause he's sad he's a clone... Nothing much comes from this, but, still.

Looking back from the mid-'80s till '90s compared to the 2020s, It's like a whole different Marvel Universe. While A-lister heroes is still the same, there was once New Warriors, Quasar, Danny Ketch's Ghost Rider, Different personality of Hulk (Joe Fixit, Professor Hulk), Wonder Man, Crystal, Black Knight and Sersi were part of the Avenger teams and along with the different iconic team of X-Men.

Man, so many heroes that were once popular in that era is forgotten by today's world. Which is kinda ashame since the 80's Marvel has a lot of great storylines but MCU so far only adapted the 'Infinity War' event along with the 'Vision Quest' arcs for the 'WandaVision'.

Missed opportunity for Marvel to look up at Hawkeye's early run for adaption.

Because recency bias, the MCU and Feige are very much influenced by the 2000s Quesada era: Ultimates, Disassembled, Gotg, Ultimate Fury, Winter Soldier, Yelena, etc. It's why they are trying to do YA instead of say Champions or New Warriors.

I didn't wanna make a new thread for this and it's kind of a loose fit:

whatever happened to Da Vinci? He was all over Secret Warrior, SHIELD and then kinda fell off.

Any one know what his final appearance was?

His arc ended with Bendis's Invincible Iron Man. Apparently had Bendis stayed on, there would've been a new thinktank involving him, Riri, and a few of the old Avengers Academy students (we saw Reptil and Striker). Instead, Bendis went off to do Superman for DC and Riri joined the Champions - the Da Vinci thing is an aborted arc.

Your timeline is off. His death in Thunderbolts didn't lead to Carol becoming Captain Marvel - Phyla-Vell and a Skrull imposter of Mar-Vell were Captain Marvel between him and Carol. Carol, still Ms. Marvel at the time, had nothing to do with them getting rid of Genis. In fact Genis was no longer Captain Marvel in that Thunderbolts run, he was Photon (and yes, Monica Rambeau showed up, complaining that for the second time, Genis had stolen her codename - she became Pulsar, which didn't last long. Nextwave had her without a codename and then she became Spectrum in Al Ewing's Mighty Avengers, which was recently changed back to Photon, the resurrected Genis now sharing Carol's Captain Marvel name as shown on that cover).

New Warriors was already tried. They made a pilot for a live action TV show (based on the 2005 run but with a couple of members swapped out) but Freeform dropped it and nowhere else picked it up (the actress cast as Squirrel Girl for that has been her VA since then though, in the Marvel Rising cartoon and a solo webcast). Champions probably has an issue with it's name, as they had problems getting it back because of a tabletop game.

That was just horrible what happened. To make matters worse, Peter hits MJ again in Spider-Man 3. Why Peter got a free pass, I'll never know.
