With Garfield being voiced by Chris Pratt and Samuel L Jackson doing the voice of Vic, Garfield's dad. Vic was never in the comic strip. The rest of the roles have not been said yet. The film is being done by Sony, but all rights to Garfield were sold off to Viacom/Paramount by the creator, Jim Davis. But Viacom has apparently agreed to let Sony continue to make the film anyways. Jim Davis now 77 I understand why he sold off the rights to Viacom, but right after he had already made a deal with Sony. Paws Inc was already dissolved into Viacom and Paws Inc is now shut down and being turned into a museum for Muncie, Indiana. And now Paws Inc is just an office in New York for Viacom.
