    This book hasn't taken advantage of the anthology format so far. I thought we'd get more standalone stories which do not require knowledge of continuity, something I can pick up and read one at a time. But I guess that was foolish of me to even expect.

    The Batman/Etrigan story was like that and it was excellent and the main feature with the fake Batman was similarly continuity free though not as fun as the Etrigan story.

    I really liked Tom King showing Batman's sorrow for Joker's victims. Even though it's one of the things King always does, I think it's a good one.

    Only picked up one of these but the guy who thinks he's Batman and the Mad Dog (?) stories were pretty fun.

    If I remember right they teased that there was something between Bruce and Macpherson in the original Gotham Academy (or like in an annual?) so this seems to be expanding on that.
