Default Cantwell & Rodríguez Doing A Superman Story In Batman: The Brave & The Bold

In “The Order of the Black Lamp—Part I,” from writer Christopher Cantwell (Co-creator, Halt and Catch Fire, Briar, Marvel’s Iron Man) and artist Javier Rodríguez (Marvel’s Daredevil, The Defenders), Superman finds a decoder ring with a secret message—“Save Me”—which sends him on a quest to solve a mystery with ties to the Man of Steel’s past.

Doesn’t even look like he’s teaming up with Batman, it’s just a solo story? I’m interested! Rodriguez’s art is of course amazing and worth checking out for that alone, but I’ve heard good things about Cantwell’s writing. People seem to love his Gold Goblin series.

Edit: They got Frank Cho to draw a Superman variant? How much did they have to fork over for that? He’s a well known Superman hater.

It's weird to see Clark getting a story in a an anthology book with Batman's name on it, but the art will look phenomenal.

I pitched our 3-part story as a "lost Max Fleischer cartoon," so get ready
    Well now I’m definitely intrigued.

I hope the art and story is there to match it .

Intriguing I admit, but probably a gross exaggeration, particularly if it's 3-parts. But we'll see I suppose, maybe I will be wrong.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Hey there though and I’m also surprised about Frank Cho.

Even if the story isn’t up to snuff the art will be. Javier Rodriguez is a master:

Might be the filter but looks like they're going for a cartoony style here.

I don’t think it looks any different from the Hulk pic posted above imo. I’d be surprised if Rodriguez changed up his style too much.

Why? They'll probably get like 8 pages for each part so it will be practically same as one and done if it was published in regular series.

Somehow, for having two bi characters who've already met, I have a strong feeling the word bisexual won't even be said once.
