Sad to say, that could still happen today - reminds me of North Korea. The way the characters are drawn though, that would definitely be different now.

I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier, but Hulk Magazine #23. A couple of gay dudes attempt to sexually assault Bruce Banner

Jim Shooter claims this was based loosely on something that happened to a friend of his which is fair enuff, but the over the top stereotypes...!

Wow, how did Bruce manage to not show them he was the Hulk? Surely he must've been angry at their behaviour?

Yeah, it was probably Jim shooter it happened to, and there was no Hulk to save him.

He basically just tells the blonde guy, "You know that fugitive on the news that turns into the Hulk? That's me and you don't want to be around when I change!" Next page after he gets away from the rapists, he does in fact become the Hulk.

Gina Carano was asked multiple times by Disney to stop with the dumb tweets. Not even told just asked. Instead she doubled down and started tweeting even more. That is the reason she got let go and her planned show was scrapped. She through it all away to appease her ego.

Twitter is probably the worst thing to ever happen for most celebs because most of them are just so out of touch with the real world they are tone deaf. Twitter is a cancer for normal people let alone people who have their whole lives managed for them.

We need to realize that Inhumans are not heroic figures, and they've done far worse recently.

Nothing offensive about that. Marvel's going with the different species thing. AIDS is a human disease.

To be fair, everybody thought that was stupid back when it actually happened as well.

How old was Paige when she hooked up with Angel??

Medusa was heroic in the book. The Generic Council is the enemy of the inhumans basically. The writers use inhumans to get a point across. Also, please remember they are fictional characters and that you're just commenting how well a specific writer did in getting from point A to point B with an argument. They get enough hate for fictional characters on a page.

Not heroic figures, coming from someone who has "Magneto was right".

Why were you condoning censorship in an earlier response and now supporting it? The “controversial books” being removed are because they feature LGBTQ people and minorities, that is not being politically neutral, the existence of LGBTQ people and minorities is not politically it’s a reality, and removing books for featuring those people is the only censorship I’ve been seeing. People existing is not a political issue, and if it is to you, that just means it’s already coming from a reactionary conservative standpoint

I respectfully disagree with you, I feel that that books are almost always removed from schools for the wrong reasons, because they feature a specific type of person that racists and homophobes get mad about.

Yeah. They're like Neanderthals. Mutants are not Homo Sapiens, they're Homo Superior - but they're still humans, just like Neanderthals were. Neanderthals apparently went extinct because they bred with Homo Sapiens. Of course Homo Superior can also breed with Homo Sapiens - the child might have the X gene and be Homo Superior, or it might not and would be Homo Sapiens. So unless someone's powers (i.e. a healing factor) prevented it, there's no reason mutants would be immune from AIDS.
