It's hard to tell because it's been very long since King did something so long, but so far he hasnt done that on the rest of his most recent works, Love is Everlasting most of all. It's not something I would expect from this run. Originally Posted by Fuzzy Mittens
I also liked the Tom King story for the aniversary, and see Superman's big role there as an introduction to Wonder Woman's world since the perspective of non-wonderwoman readers. Also, it was kinda ridiculous to see how in the aftermath there were so many angry Superman fans telling Tom King, the writer of Up in the Sky, how he should write Superman.

Diana's villains are so ill defined and inconsistent that a group of them being lumped together for a fight scene doesn't bother me the way it did, say, the Bat Rogues (plus Slade for some stupid reason) in "War of Jokes and Riddles"....except for Circe. They really butchered Grail after Darkseid War, but hopefully King can "fix" her. However as others have said her being lumped in with 5 other villains is not promising.
Really hope King isn't trying to sell Sovereign as her "Joker" by saying/showing all her other villains being to weak to handle her.

Not really sure there was much of Grail to butcher. I'm fine if a writer wants to give the character another chance but it's not like Grail started out great, doubling down on Daddy Zeus and all.
The other villains Grail's being grouped with (Swan, Psycho, Giganta) are all fairly "big names" by WW villain standards and that's a more than fair enough ranking for her imo. Cheetah, Circe, or even Ares she'll never be.
