I don't think DC cares enough about Wonder Woman to revert any changes made by King.

It just depends on the next writer who takes over from King and whether they want to use Lizzie in their stories.

Yeah, no. Like I get the idea for setting up this new status quo and giving the runs baddie a weapon to use against Wonder Woman. But the fact is their neither an interesting nor a memorable foe for Wonder Woman to take on.
And as recent issues have shown, the leader of Axe is nowhere near impressive enough to carry the group of minor mooks.

Given this all ties into whatever is going on with Wallers play to take over the DC universe, I figure they will fade out before years end.

I don't really see anyone talking about Axe anywhere. Would anyone even notice if we never saw them again after this story arc?

I know they got referenced in Titans at one point, but yeah, I doubt it. When you boil it down their really just a group of soldiers in body armor with nothing to distinguish them. Im sure King is planning some other form of fallout from this, but I couldnt guess what.
I doubt AXE will be a long existing thing in his run though
