I'm quite confident Tom King could stay on the book for 100 issues if he wanted. There's no writer they could get on the book that would be as invested as he is and would bring the same sales. The only reason Tom King was removed from Batman is because sales dipped for the biggest book DC has.
The question is, will Tom King wanna write 100 issues? I think part of the reason why he joined Wonder Woman was precisely due to the fallout of Batman an
d Heroes in Crisis. He had to go on a redemption tour for 3 years, only writing miniseries.
And now he gets to write a bigger character in an ongoing book. He probably wants a run that can get it's own big omnibus that keeps being read decades after. This might be his chance, he can redefine a big character and have people in the future proclaim him as THE seminal writer of Wonder Woman. (Everything I'm saying is silly, but I do think that's his goal) And he stills gets to write miniseries for other stuff
But there are two scenarios that could make him leave earlier.
He gets offered Superman
Or he gets a big job writing for TV or Cinema
I think he would immediately abandon Wonder Woman if either of these things happened.
There is a chance of Marvel contacting him and offering something big. He would love to write Spider-man and X-men, but I don't think be would get the creative freedom he wants.
All that said. My bet is we definitely get 50 issues. Whether we get 100 depends on either of the scenarios I mentioned above
Yes, you are right, the best thing can happen is that they give us a second title of the Amazing Amazon.
Which would be for the best if Kings on the book for a long period. One of the problems with Kanigher aside from KANIGHER is that we didn't really get any other voices playing with Wonder Woman for neigh 20 years
And even then he was still the editor

Sixth highest DC book overall.32. Wonder Woman #7
King will only do 100 issues of this run if he thinks he can churn out 100 issues worth of his backup Supersons stories.
Unfortunately, like a lot of writers, King's interest in Wonder Woman is only in reference to Superman and Batman. He even defined her as the middle point between Superman and Batman in his last issue. And he has spent more time connecting Lizzie to Supersons than to WW or the Amazons.
Lizzie hasn't been around that long. There's still plenty of time to course correct and pair her with the Amazons
