. The roadmap from there is foggy; sources have said that a next-gen Superman game (NOT ROCKSTEADY) is also in the works at WB, but nothing confirmed yet.

I've been hearing about this since 2020. The rumors still go on.

It would be great but it’s WB and they just had a colossal failure with Suicide Squad KtJL. They’re very likely to go running back to Batman. The only way I would find that the least bit interesting is if they went with Damian in the Batman 666 universe. Morrison’s concepts in an open world game would be interesting.

It could also be Batman Beyond. With the success of the Spiderverse I can see them wanting to use a character that could fit a similar visual style. There was already that test footage of the Batman Beyond movie that was pretty much Into the Spiderverse.

Rather them than Rocksteady after how RS portrayed Supes in SS. Their Superman was a total moron who got everyone possessed by Brainiac, all the worst attributes of the DCAU Superman were present. Zero desire or trust in them to do right by him, and I definitely never want to bother with Arkham Superman again.

Batman Beyond was my first guess too lol. Only reason it might not be is that WBM already screwed the pooch with Gotham Knights and maybe WB wasn’t willing to trust their prize IP to them again.

True. My concern is if WB Montreal's Bat Family effort was only ok, then my confidence that they can make a good Superman game isn't particularly high.
