    Default DC Pride 2023

What is DC Pride 2023 #1 about?

In DC Pride 2023 #1, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy go to extreme measures to get a little alone time...but there's nowhere on the planet Crush can't crash. Jon Kent gets a comprehensive course in dark magic when John Constantine sics a golem on him. Tim Drake and Connor Hawke learn that there is nothing more awkward than reuniting with an old friend after you've both come out and one of you was indoctrinated by the League of Shadows for a while. Circuit Breaker struggles to stifle his powers after the Flash of Earth-11 leaps out of the time stream and knocks them both into another dimension. Just how far would Flashlight go to honor his lost love? Discover all these stories and many more in DC Pride 2023! The anthology also include a five-page preview of the upcoming Dreamer YA graphic novel by Nicole Maines and Rye Hickman, to be published in 2024. Pinup pages in DC Pride 2023 will feature artwork by Maria Llovet, Ro Stein and Ted Brandt, Travis Moore, Noah Dao, Claire Roe, Babs Tarr, and more.

I hope they fix that Robin cover. The Batgirls aren't wearing their Batgirl costumes, they're in their old ones from the Rebirth era! Yet it can't be old art repurposed because Darcy's also on it, and Sparrow only debuted in the current Robin book. The artist drew the wrong costumes, it needs to be corrected.

    - Midnighter, Apollo and Alan Scott Green Lantern in one story?!!!
    - Multiversity by Grant Morrison?!!
    - And.... Ghost-Maker and Catman vs. Cannon and Saber?!!! A dream coming true!!!

The other stories also seem to be promising, so I'm pretty much excited.

Huh, i just noticed something. It’s interesting that they list Jackson Hyde’s Aquaman as DC Rebirth #1. Guess we’re just ignoring Brightest Day, or not even mentioning Young Justice. It’s weird when Jon’s straight up mentions convergence.

Awesome - I’m looking forward to reading these stories!

(I feel like we need a Green Lantern, Harlequin, Thorn, Jade, Obsidian and Harlequin’s Son reunion though… THE DRAMAZ.)

Pre-Flashpoint's version of him was introduced, then immediately erased by New 52 happening. It seems his involvement is no longer canon and Reborth's one-shot is now treated as his debut, before he joined the Teen Titans and then moved over to Aquaman's solo book. The only new character introduced at that time (late 2010 to early 2011) who actually survived is another Teen Titan, Solstice (debited in the second to last arc of pre-Flashpoint Teen Titans), and that was just pure luck in that Teen Titans's new writer didn't initially know it was a reboot. The roles of Tim, Cassie, Bart and Kon-El were rewritten (the latter two ended up being completely new characters, and Tim and Cassie were given new origins which have since been reverted), but it was too late to change the roster, so the newbie Solstice stayed along with Bunker who was created for that series, instead of other established heroes being used (Raven and Beast Boy were both added later).

Aren't both of Alan's wives deceased? They'd be over 100 years old now and have no explanation for longevity like Alan himself does.

Nice to see Natasha Irons get some recognition on one of the covers.

Same here, had to look them up. Enemies of Vigilante apparently and appeared in issue 5 of the 1983 series. Their names are ironic - Cannon uses melee weapons and Saber uses guns!
