Barry pops up in The Flash #2 for anyone here who is interested.
Read The Flash#1 this September!
I know it's pretty dead in here with Barry no longer being the lead but Beast World: Central City Tour largely focuses on Barry (and Irey!) and I'd highly recommend it to any Barry fans who have fallen off the comic with him not being the main character anymore.
There is some stuff at the beginning that some fans might find questionable for Barry to be thinking/saying but, if you haven't been reading the main Flash story, suffice to say Barry's unusual mental state is tied into the weird stuff going on in the main comic so don't read too heavily into those first few scenes -- but enjoy the rest!
I enjoyed Barry's role in this tie-in
Barry feeling lost over not being the fastest did feel a bit out of character, but it also sets the stage for this issue and for Spurrier to show how important Barry still is within the family. This issue gave him some much-needed time with Flash Fam members, and Barry working with Irey in particular was awesome. I loved seeing him act as a leader and use his Speed Force "science" know-how to solve problems, while also hearing out and respecting Irey's plan.
Also, every scene with Barry and Iris together was golden. Loved them dancing, and I loved Iris's "you've cut your name across the multiverse in letters made of light" line
Season's Greetings.
"Good-bye. Good luck. Good riddance."
