Yeah, i think Dauterman was moreso inspired by Rihanna’s headpiece and the probably the swarvoski crystals that adorned her dress.

Yeah it's sad that she even has to have such concerns.

Btw someone asked Dauterman to give Mystique a design and he said "She has a fantastic design this year by another artist — I love it".

People badgered Jen Bartel about that gala design? That's crazy because they should have been taking it up with Jordan D. White. He would be the reason they didn't use one of the more genuinely inspired designs Jen came up with. Boring guy holding Jean back, as usual.

3 years in and I still wish the Galas would have been themed like the actual Met Gala, that would have been so nice to see tbh.

Also I really hope Storm gets to go the Gala this year, last year she was busy in Arakko and i def don't want that to be the case this year

Yes please, we should steal Mahmud back from DC. His Batman & Robin book with Mark Waid was absolutely stunning. I really miss his art on the X-books and especially his otherworldly beautiful Jean.
