Also, if you're out of the loop, I guess you also don't know that Psylocke isn't Betsy Braddock any more. Betsy got her English body back and is now Captain Britain, and Psylocke is now Kwannon, the Japanese lady whose body she'd previously been using.

I think I did hear about that, but I didn't think it was still a thing. Thought it was just a temporary storyline or something. So Psychlocke isn't Betsy anymore huh? Weird. Makes the inclusion of Psychlocke here even more strange, I would think.

Green helmet guy is Captain Krakoa. Last time he appeared it was actually Cyclops in disguise, he took a new identity briefly after being witnessed being killed, to hide the existence of the resurrection protocols. He ditched the disguise when the Protocols became public knowledge recently.

That seems like such a Cyclops thing to do. Did he have little wings on the side of his helmet too?

I don't know about the other poster's reasons, but I agree about Quicksilver not looking like himself in the Scarlet Witch book. He looked too young and his features were too delicate looking compared to how he looks most of the time. I genuinely thought it was Speed(Tommy) in a new costume when first saw the first page with him on it.

This. Heck, just google pictures of Pietro and compare it to his look in Scarlet Witch.

Nah, it was the reversal of the longstanding (and problematic) storyline of Betsy being switched with an Asian woman. Betsy is back in her original body now. They've been doing a lot with Kwannon, the Asian Psylocke, in recent years so makes sense.

Appreciate the catch-up. Haven't read X-Men since Jean came back, right after (just before?) Bendis left. Seems like I have missed a whole lot. Also heard Beast has gone crazy too, which is a shame since he'd have been a good fit for a A-X team.

My issue so far with this is the line up which was my issue with the original though the story itself was good but when i think about the premise i would expect like a team of Manthing/Flint(Inhuman)/Mutant/Hulk or Shehulk (Gamma), Daredevil or Spiderman (more street level) Insert Alien, Insert God.

I think the idea behind the team should be more like a council. if it's about unity there should be a member from the biggest factions on the team rather than just a bipedal hero team.

Hmm, kind of like Chris Yost's New Warriors having a representative on the team from just about every superhuman category --- with the High Evolutionary and the Eternals manipulated into trying to commit genocide on them all because they were made to believe the Celestials would wipe out all of Earth (and baseline humanity) as a "failed experiment" otherwise.

"a member from the biggest faction on the team" sounds like a unity team and coexistence but the actual lineup of the team to me seems to be about management of public opinion of the mutants and zero to do with the original mission of the team.

I would love to see this develop in to an ongoing ~ the premise makes perfect sense! ~ but I think a lot depends on the status quo of mutantdom by the end of the year.
