    Kyle Rayner's press agent does good work. Most any romance he's had has been him sleeping his way to relevance. First it was Donna, the next best thing to Wonder Woman. Then was Jade, daughter to the first Green Lantern. Then it was Soranik, daughter to Sinestro. Heck, Kyle even had a moment with Carol Ferris, classic love of Hal Jordan.

    That's what I take away from his love life. The GF is chiefly an ornament, but a character with considerably more background and potential than Kyle Rayner Vasquez himself.

    In no particular order, the couples I can get behind...

    Ollie + Dinah
    Barry + Iris
    Wally + Linda
    Arthur + Mera
    Bruce + Selina = Helena
    Miracle + Barda
    John Stewart + Katma Tui
    Black Lightning + Katana / Jonni Thunder (Kingdom Come)
    Hawkman + Hawkgirl/woman

    Nod to...
    Cannon + Saber
    Brain + Mallah

    I would've been stronger with Hourman II + Liberty Belle II but, as a JSA fan, I really would've liked to see their courtship start and develop instead of just appearing out of the blue.

    Isn't Connor Hawke asexual?

    Definitely agree that seeing Vi and Ayla on the list would rule, though I'm not sure when the pairing was last referenced. Last time I read them together was in books from the early '90s, and I think the writers might have been doing the whole "We have to overtly imply a romance because we're not quite allowed to just say it," thing. Though it's been a few years, so I could be wrong.

    Meanwhile, Ayla was with Brin (Timber Wolf) for years, had a mild flirtation with Pol Krinn (Magnetic Lad), and then realized she was attracted to Violet. Violet was with Duplicate Boy for years, had a mild flirtation with Dirk Morgna (Sun Boy), and then realized she was attracted to Ayla.

    5YL kicked down a lot of boundaries. But you're right, they probably were given a lot of limitations on certain things, which is sad. Imagine how great 5YL could've been if everyone had just left them alone.
