Default Batman: Gotham Knights: Gilded City

Today during the Gotham Publishing panel at San Diego Comic-Con, DC announced the official prequel to the game. Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City is written by Evan Narcisse (Gen: LOCK, Rise of the Black Panther) with art by ABEL (Harley Quinn). This six-issue monthly limited series arrives in comic book stores and participating digital platforms on Tuesday, October 25 and leads directly into the videogame launch, which will release the same day.

Should've known they'd do a comic prequel. I guess this'll give us more content with this Batman and his proteges before he bites it.

I wonder if The Runaway has a connection to the Court.

Wrap-around variant cover by Jim Lee:

And does Jason look larger than Dick?

Looking like a solid Batfamily romp!

    Fixed it for you.

I will be beyond shocked if Bruce doesn't make a "shocking" third act return (or at least a mid-credits scene).
"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"

"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"

"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."

Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!

People say comics aren't as good anymore or not the same quality but dc is proving them wrong! Keep being great

I'm happy to see more of this universe's version of Batman. I like his suit.

A reminder that the comic will come with a code you can use in-game to unlock certain items, one per issue.

That was pretty solid, and the use of Alfred made me wish this was how the main universe was.

I'm hoping the Runaway's design gets reused for another character. One of the Tims could benefit from it.

I'm not gonna play Gotham Knights for a while so this would have to do for now.

Well, that's a fine hello Dick.

Basically hit the usual beats for why Dick and Bruce broke up but jeez, I've never seen Dick this aggressive about it. And he probably didn't want Tim to see him like this.
