Question regarding blue beetle and booster gold's relationship

In the original run of justice league international you can tell that They had a genuine affection for each other despite the constant ribbing. At some point after Max was shot the relationship changed to beetle not really wanting anything to do with booster. Was there an event that caused the shift?

Booster quit the JLI around that time due to the lack of respect, and he became the leader of a corporate-sponsored superteam called The Conglomerate. That happened in Justice League Quarterly #1.

It led to a lot of resentment between Booster and Beetle, but they eventually reconciled, and Booster eventually rejoined the JLI.

Currently their friendship is in full effect. You should read the Blue and Gold mini that came out not too long ago. It was really good and their is supposed to be another one coming according to the creative team.

Tom Taylor wrote the Beetle/Booster friendship beautifully in Injustice 2 #5, 21, and 33. They just have short scenes in a much larger narrative featuring dozens of characters, but each scene brought a tear to my eye.

as mention , gold joining the Conglomerate.



beetle still considered him a friend but that broke when he saw gold trying to recruit gypsy at miracle's funeral.
