Well, there's still no indication that resurrection is off the table any time soon, so death itself isn't any more final there than it is in books currently, BUT.....

If something happens to the gates and/or mutants are barred from anywhere that isn't Krakoa, basically (and remember that Timeless panel where Kang said there was a future where Orchis would have dominion over Earth....mutants being basically limited to Krakoa could fit that, I'd say)....

I'm just saying, death could take on entirely new connotations and it'd still be PLENTY dark if mutants who were stranded off of Krakoa when this all went down - like the ones stuck in Limbo/the embassy by circumstance, for instance....

Well as an Archangel fan I am really excited about this news. This looks like the right type of team for him. Now he just has to survive the first issue.

Like the roster save for Azezel. I don't know much about Zero.
I do wish that there were more woman on the team.

As for the characters that die, that may not mean much, even if the Resurrection gifts are gone from Krakoa. Goblin Queen may be able to use Limbo to control their souls and resurrect them somehow. It might be why some of them are trapped on the team unwillingly. Just a guess on my part.
