There has never been an 'all male' X-team before. There has been an all-female before. Like the cast of Realm of X, there was also the X-Men NOW team, which contained only women (2013) with Storm, Jubilee, Kitty, Psylocke, Prestige and Rogue

Thats not true. Casey's Uncanny X-men debuted as an all male team

And while it only lasted a few issues, the Civil War: X-men mini contained a team of the surviving O5 which was 4 men

Thanks, I had forgotten about those first few issues of Casey's run.

It's interesting to consider that because they are traveling into a realm of myths and magic powers, Dust is possibly in a lot more danger than she would be in the regular world or even space.

Because while turning into a sand form makes her immune to regular melee weapons and projectiles, in the Ten Realms someone could have a magic weapons which could harm her even in that form or pull out a magic flask which has the power to trap sandstorms in it.

That team badly needed a woman on it to tell them that actually soul patches were never cool (or is that more of a "Chin Brazilian"?).

I really thought it was going to be some *mutant* villains, like Asp, Black Racer, Rock Python, Slither, etc. from the Serpent Society/Serpent Solutions, using Krakoa as an extradition-free bolt-hole after committing crimes, leading to some legal repercussions for the island...

Yes, this. Occasionally a fan of Magik, always a fan of Dani, and cautiously optimistic about any drama Mary might bring.

Marrow, meh. Don't dislike her like Curse, but don't like her either.

But interested to seeing how Dust reacts to being shoved into a realm of literal gods.

It was the style at the time, which of course makes it very dated compared to more general influences of the decade.

Considering the asgardian gods have been publicly present on Earth for decades at this point and Dust herself has seen and fought demons, aliens and other super natural beings, while also being a human with super natural powers herself, it's likely she has allready adapted to it and intigrated them into her religious understanding of the world.
