Woohoo! I'm thrilled they're bringing back the old gang rather than forming a new team. They deserve it. 🥹

I wouldn't be surprised if it's more setting up a threat that we'll see in Fall of X. The other Before the Fall one-shots (aside from Sons of X, which honestly feels like a rebranded finale similar to Onslaught Revelation) seem to be doing so. (I think originally it was probably just a Marauders annual, given that Gillen was talking about having an annual before Fall before Sinister Four was announced).

Yeah, I’ll give it a shot. I’m an OG Alpha Flight fan. No Logan, but his son will be there. I’ll take it.

Same. I'm excited for this now and I was getting really worried. Heck they are even using a updated version of the classic Alpha Flight logo.

When writing Old Man Logan, Brisson had a small arc that some Alpha Flight members appeared. It was fun, so I'll read this and expect good stuff. I'm not very familiar with AF to be honest, so I'm open minded.

As a devout AF fan...This is the only book of the new set that has me interested. Maybe/hopefully Brisson writing the Alphans will be different to him writing the New Mutants so...I'm in.

I'm conflicted because I really wanted the return of the classic Alpha Flight, but I do not think Brisson is a good writer and having the classics in opposition to mutants is not a direction I care for.
But since if this tanks we'll not get anothet proper AF book anytime soon, I hope that somehow Brisson manages to craft a good story.

I don't like the premise. New sentinels new this, oh we must prepare to fight mutants. Where was the canadian team formed to help. so i'm out on this and i can't think of anything i've really liked of brisson. Well maybe his ghost rider but his work is foggy in my mind so yeah nothing i should say that stands out.

I was wondering the same thing.

Interesting direction...not one I would have picked, but ya know, whatever. It's Alpha Flight...I'm in.

    Still sad about Sas though.

“As for returning for the Fall of X era, it feels like a perfect bookend for my work on X-Men,” Brisson continued. “Having been there for the launch of the new era, it's an honor to come back and help close out this chapter of X-Men history."

    Hmmm

I usually try out at least the first issue, but yeah this might be my first skip too. I don’t have any emotional connection to the original team and Brisson’s X-work has done nothing for me.

Agreed. If it gets good word of mouth maybe I'll try but otherwise I'll prob just read on Unlimited down the line.

Same. I have never had that much interest in Alpha Flight or any of it's members, I did not enjoy Brisson's New Mutants issues, and Daken is always an active turn off for me on any book he is in.
