Seems pretty cool. I like what Ram V is saying. Not too thrilled about even more Superman and Batman rip-offs, but everything else sounds cool.
I'm excited for the group and I hope they stick around a long time.
He didn't specify them yet. In the interview he just pitched a meta plot where the Vigil went up against Indian versions of Superman and Batman. It's a reference to how Indian comics used ripoff version if Superman and Batman to prop up their heroes.
So we don't know if it they would be like Apollo and Midnighter or just an Indian guy in a bat suit.

A very strong first issue that reminded a bit (tonally) of Ostrander’s Suicide Squad, which I mean as high praise.
I’m really excited to know more about the characters and to see where V takes their mission statement.
There’s a lot of potential here, I really hope people give it a shot.
I'm def getting this, really like Ram V's work (although I couldn't seem to get in to his Detective). Think I like the more stylized art on some of the covers than what I've seen in the previews tho.
Looking forward to reading it!

“Look, you can’t put the Superman #77s with the #200s. They haven’t even discovered Red Kryptonite yet. And you can’t put the #98s with the #300s, Lori Lemaris hasn’t even been introduced.” — Sam
“Where the hell are you from? Krypton?” — Edgar Frog
Kind of felt flat to me, just edgy for edginess sake.

The issue is already available on DC Unlimited for some reason. I’m not sure if it’s available for all subscribers or just Ultra members.
