Well this talk of titles brings me to an earlier post where I discussed the Ronnie Garvin shoot. Watching a Rock n Roll Express one , they detailed some things.
- Ricky & Robert both discuss that Dusty Rhodes really wasn't a good booker. As Gibson joked , he could book Dusty great but well the rest. They discuss that Rhodes told them they were no longer hot and wouldn't be getting a push. As Morton says , the team was at its hottest point then. We had sold out shows. So Rhodes fires them both and soon enough they learn Crockett's losing so many millions of dollars and that Dusty made him get a private jet. Which cost big money.
Both men were hired back by the time Dusty was fired. But the affects were done made. No heels were hot then as Morton brings up. They had no hot heels to program them against and it was all flat in the territory. So the 2nd run wasn't as good.
- They discuss the classic Ric Flair/Morton program where Flair did the whole training bra deal as the video shows. Morton claims he never knew Flair was gonna bring the training bra out. The entire scene above was not scripted. They did it all on the fly. Morton jokes Flair under his breath tells him to take his $500 sunglasses and stomp em. Then they did the brawl.
Gibson was asked if he was worried that this program was gonna make them push Ricky Morton as a singles wrestler. But Gibson didn't have no fear of that happening because he claims they were too damn hot as a tag team to be split. Morton brings up that Dusty came to him and wanted him to go singles and let Gibson go. But as he said , Dusty was doing it politically to kill the team as usual with ideas like cutting their hair really short etc etc . Before they were fired.
Then Morton reveals a shocker , "You don't think Ronnie Garvin winning that title that same year came outta left field for a reason , right ?" Revealing that had he split the team , Dusty Rhodes was gonna make him NWA World Champion heading into Starrcade.
- At the end he admits he'd a couple years later turn on Robert , but even then he only did it because he needed to work while Robert was getting a knee surgery done. That he was off with it and he needed to make a living. So he did the heel turn then.
"The story so far: As usual, Ginger and I are engaged in our quest to find out what the hell is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some bastard who is presumably responsible." - Sir Digby Chicken Caesar.
“ Well hell just froze over. Because CM Punk is back in the WWE.” - Jcogginsa.
“You can take the boy outta the mom’s basement, but you can’t take the mom’s basement outta the boy!” - LA Knight.
"Revel in What You Are." Bray Wyatt.
You dont need to put THE MAIN BELT on Lesnar but you could put the IC or Us belt on him and just have be undefeated for a year or so. For him, it would just be a prop to call him champ but for whoever eventually wins it, then it becomes a symbol of beating the unconquerable.
Wouldn't work. Brock has always been looked at as a MAIN eventer that's why he was given a mega push at the beginning. This is the man that Killed Hulkamina in the ring and literally bathed in it's Blood. He would make any second tier Title more Legit then The Main belt and the crowds would see that it's champ is nothing but Vince's chosen one. (Oh, hi, Roman)
All they need is to find someone that can legit beat up Brock Lesner but and out talk Paul hymen.
Good luck with that

Vince_Surprised.jpg whoa ...
New Japan has also seen ticket sales fall, Tanahashi is getting older and broken down, Kenny Omega is not a star on the level of AJ and the fact that they made no new stars when they were flying high is going to hurt them the next few years.
Naito has sort of recovered with the heel turn, people actually give somewhat of a crap now so he's better off then the last time they tried to put him on top. But they better go with Shibata or we can look forward to more mix ups of okada, naito and tanahashi, matches we have seen a lot.
Del Rio is a midcarder and it's too late to bring up he once did legit fighting.
IMO, Joe is the perfect opponent for Lesnar, but having joe go over lesnar is a waste because he's too old.
Roman going over Lesnar won't work because nothing they do with Roman works because he isn't the face of the company and never will be no matter how much the company wants it.
Ambrose already got destroyed by Lesnar so i don't see any benefit in that.
I don't see anyone but Joe that they could have fight lesnar and have it mean anything, and even Joe would take months of build to have that match mean anything.
Orton vs Lesnar given the lesnar win last night is definetly the wrong match though. Randy Orton will never be a bigger star than he currently is, beating lesnar won't change that.
joe vs Brock....
How many Somians dose it take to fill Brock?
