jericho has had a good run. he deserves a bit of time off.

If he had a guranteed match with Owens at Wrestlemania like Brock does with Goldberg then I'd agree Jericho would be costing himself a title match by having Owens lose it. But there's no gurantee that Jericho would get a match with Owens for the title anyways. This way it at least gurantees that he makes Owens pay for what he did.

The goal for Jericho was for him and Owens to have a Universal title match at WrestleMania. Have two best friends headline the event together. After Goldberg there would have been no one else to gun for the title other than Jericho.

Why would Jericho even want to cost Owens the title anyway? He's robbing himself of a potential UT match in the process. It'd have made more sense for him to come in AFTER the match, or help KO wins and THEN attack him.

Goldberg and Brock have a date, so if Brock wins the title, Jericho doesn't get a shot for awhile.

He would have to wait for Owens to get his match, and with the stroke that Owens had with Steph and Hunter that would have been awhile.

Brock should have interfered because you don't let Goldberg punk you and cost your shot at the title.

Joe should have interfered due to being apart of the new Clique.
