they are in a better place because you have business guys running promotions, not wrestlers

NEW, that performs up here in CT and NY is owned by Joel Gertner and his partner, who happens to be an accountant

Indies are doing well because they are being smarter with their money (not overpaying for talent) than guys in the territories ever were

    i wouldn't say that ryback is a has-been. more like he was a never-was.

I don't see that being any better. TNA was ran by business guys for almost their whole existence and didn't stop them from driving it into the ground. The new business guys running it ain't any better. Combat Zone and House of Hardcore are doing just fine for promotions run by wrestlers.

Jerry and Jeff ran TNA into the ground to the point where they had to sell and the company has had the mixed fortune of being run by people with deep pockets ever since

who runs NJPW now? who runs ROH? BUSINESS PEOPLE and both promotions have seen massive growth in the past couple years

look at Shimmer - Dave Prazak wrestled a little, but largely is a promoter/manager and works with Allison Danger

RoH wasn't in any danger when the company got sold to Sinclair. They were already touring and had TV. Inoki got boot from his own company since it was poison to it after he got obsessed with MMA.

To be fair Jeff and Jerry was told one thing (that PPV Buys were a certain number for a couple shows) and that things were going great. In fact they were told as long as weekly PPV's did over 50,000+ they were in a good spot. Someone they hired told them the 1st , 3 PPV's had did like 170,000+ buys and things seemed great. Then it was revealed by the 4th show the numbers were drastically lower than expected. So low they had to sell the company to Dixie.

Its not like Jeff and Jerry ran the company long enough alone to be called terrible business owners.

I'm sure he'd definitely find work. That said, I think it would be premature for him to leave at this point. He's only just starting to get hot in the WWE now. He still might be able to get a big push, and it's not like the indies are going away.
