So Steve Austin on his podcast brought up that the one time he blew up on someone it was the Big Bossman backstage ...
- Austin claims that around 1998/1999 , he was working a match with Kane (I believe) and well Bossman was supposed to do a big run in and deliver a solid chair shot to him. Anyhow the plans was this was gonna lead to a Austin/Bossman program which Steve wanted to do. Since he liked Ray.
- So the spot comes and Austin waits ...and works...and waits thinking , what the hell. He's supposed to do the run in here. Anyhow they send out Gerald Brisco and he really didn't know how hard to swing the chair and deliver the chair shot. So he gives Austin a weak chair shot as he comically has to sell it as a big one. All the while he's so pissed thinking , what happened to Ray ?
- Backstage he finds Bossman and questions where the hell were you ? Bossman explains how he was talking to Undertaker and the 2 were having a nice conversation and he missed the sign to go do the run in. Austin tore into him , cussing him out angry over this. Which he admits he liked Ray and all but it ruined what was planned ahead. Bossman/Austin never happened because he missed the run in and they decided on something else.

I'm gonna say something controversial but it needs to be said
Vince McMahon was not only justified, but was completely in the right to do the montreal screwjob
Starting with Elias?
Watching this at the local gym...my house is still without electricity...
Oh dang, Otunga's back? ...no volume on my end sadly...
I'd agree.
Honestly I thought it was a win-win for everyone. Vince got the seeds of a hot angle which turned the company around. And Bret became the most talked about wrestler on the planet, with a multimillion dollar deal awaiting him. WCW obviously screwed up his booking when he got to WCW, but that's not on Vince.
