This was a fun X-Men Monday. It was always going to be challenging to share teasers without spoiling the inciting incident of this year's Hellfire Gala as well as the content of the new books but I feel the writers and JDW shared enough to pique my interest. I definitely liked what Orlando and Foxe had to say about Iceman and Dark X-Men respectively.
And obviously I'm extremely curious about the super-secret book teased by White... I assume it might have something to do with the mutants' new status quo, or maybe it's a big title returning? I wouldn't expect a random X-mini to be kept as a "super secret"...
That would certainly be a dark inversion of Kitty putting the mansion in the middle of Manhattan during the Gold era.
Whatever it is, they are not joking about how much it’s going to wreck mutant public perception if Bobby has to be wary every time he’s not literally in Antartica.

LOL! That gave me a good laugh.
So theories on...
- the unannounced title(s?) and the super secret?
- other cast members for Dark X-Men and Uncanny Avengers?
- who Dauterman will be designing for?
Imagine if Uncanny X-Men is coming back for the 60th anniversary and that's the super secret? Another Betsy focused book could be possible. Then we have whatever Claremont is working on although it'd have to be in the current era to be a big surprise. There's also the project Stephanie Williams is working on but it was just last month that she said she was heading to Krakoa, which may not be enough time to launch something soon.

Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
I would love it if one of the unannounced UA members is a YOUNGER character from the Avenger catalogue, like Ms Marvel or pulling from way out of left field someone like Reptil.
If not, I'd also be jazzed to see Monica Rambeau.
Ommadon: By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.
X-Men Red is my favorite title. I'd hate to lose it or Arakko.
My flag is bacon.
i'm curious as to what characters are getting the axe in Dark X-Men and which ones are coming to replace them. I also am excited after hearing about what Percy has in store for Wolverine in the first arc after FoX, him going around doing his best to clean up the mess of FoX.
Duggan got me excited too for the confrontation between Emma and Kingpin, as he said Devils Reign was a pretty big story for her, it expanded her past and integrated her more in the wider MU so I am eager to see where this all leads now that Kingpin is seeking asylum in Krakoa.
Emma is the opposite of a devourer

As for the article itself...That went just about as I expected...a whole lot of "enh!"
The only thing I actually found interesting, and not at all shocking, is JDW acknowledging that his opinions have changed over the course of his tenure in the industry. It's probably the same for most if not all the writers/creatives involved with these characters. (Considering they're not writing Claremont's Mutants). The very nature of the storytelling, especially from current writers and editors, really doesn't lend itself to being stuck with one iron-clad set of ideologies and opinions about these characters which otherwise results in stagnation of the characters and universe. Change and growth in mindset, ideology, knowledge is key.
