Regardless of success, I imagine the quality will be on par.

Sony are out promoting this as their first R-Rated Spidey film*! Because that's what everyone wants! A character they've never heard of restricted to the smallest possible audience of people the least likely to watch a comic book movie! Sony, you've done it again!

*Yet some absolute moron insisted Venom vs Carnage, a movie so terrible and act of God itself couldn't have saved it, had a blood-free kid's rating (here in the UK it got a 15 rating).

Prepare yourself for bitter disappointment! Sony are 0/3 so far* and I do not foresee this changing for a discount Tarzan movie.

*I actually really enjoyed Venom and Morbius, but I'm a sucker for trash cinema and genuinely find the constant stories about Sony shooting themselves in the foot at every opportunity funny.

Bring on the Sinister Six movie! You know, the one they've been desperate to make for like a decade, utterly sabotaged Garfield's ASM series to try to force and will stop at nothing, including but not limited to having no Spider-Man, missing the big name villains, and pitting them against a team of characters from failed solo movies, because the only thing that's important is to release a movie with Sinister Six in the name.
